Lead Engineer Electronics

Take the lead in the development of electronics of our innovative premium kitchen appliances in an international environment.

 

Your mission

As Lead Engineer Electronics you take the lead in the electronic development for our hobs and cooking fume extractors. To achieve that, you take care of good engineering practices and you establish enduring cooperation of our electronic engineers with external partners. Your open, creative and structured mindset inspires others within our R&D-department.


Tasks

Our R&D Department inhabits a small team of electronic engineers that play a vital role in the development of our products. Being part of the Hisense Europe Group, we have the responsibility to develop hobs and cooking fume extractors and combinations thereof. Electronic control is increasingly important also for these products. With your team, you will search for solutions and implement them, either by yourself, or in cooperation with third parties that contribute with development or production.

In your role as Lead Engineer, you will work hands-on on electronic development and combine that with taking care of your team of engineers. You will organize the work load and support your team.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in one of the following areas: Embedded systems, Mechatronics, Electronics or similar
  • Knowledge of embedded software development
  • Experience in creating specifications
  • Experience with PCB design
  • Experience with electronics simulations (e.g. LTspice)
  • Knowledge of the electronics production process and the final tests involved
  • Several years of demonstrable experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge and skills in the field of measurement principles
  • Some knowledge of (inter) national standards and guidelines.
  • Affinity with (premium) consumer products
  • Excellent in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing

 

Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Organizing good working practices for electronic engineering
  • Drawing up specifications for electronics within (pre-)development projects
  • Communication with suppliers about specifications
  • Evaluation of electronics based on established requirements
  • Execution and / or delegation of tests
  • Validations of components and appliances, from first prototypes to final product

 

Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and motivated candidate with excellent communication skills. You are focused on both coaching your team and improving products. You are a real team player and you are good at planning and organizing. You are not afraid to take the lead. You are willing to travel occasionally to work together with our international colleagues at location.  You have a hands-on mentality and affinity for kitchen appliances and cooking.
