Global Product Manager

Your mission

In your role as Global Product Manager you are responsible for managing the product strategy and road map for high-end kitchen appliances which are sold worldwide under the ASKO and ATAG brand. Your activities include (but are not limited to): Set up product range definition, create product briefings and business cases, induce innovative product development, set up customer and support surveys and Go-to- Market plans.

You are part of the Premium Product Management team, consisting of Product Management, Design and Marketing (based in Duiven, The Netherlands) and you report to the Director Product Brand Management.


Responsibilities

As Global Product manager you monitor and steer the positioning and range of products and provide the right tools in order to achieve the targets from the strategic business plan.

You are responsible for:

  • Creating short, middle and long-term product road maps
  • Developing and managing product strategy, specifications and design of (kitchen) appliances and related services.
  • Monitoring price positioning, budget and setting up product line ups and benchmarks.
  • Creating business cases and identifying and analyzing market developments and trends for new projects and product concepts.
  • Briefing and informing project managers and engineers about the premium strategy, products and projects.
  • Briefing and informing Marketing and Communication to launch products successfully in different markets.
  • Informing local markets about new product launches and project planning.

As Global Product Manager you work closely together with Research & Development, Marketing, Category Management and your own department. In addition, you frequently contact the various countries in which our premium ASKO and ATAG products are sold.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Integrated Product Design, Business Administration or similar.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in international and multidisciplinary teams in a similar role.
  • Experience in the field of consumer products or white goods is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills, strong business and commercial sense.
  • Affinity with technology and innovation.
  • Excellent in English both orally and in writing. Basic Dutch knowledge is preferred.

You understand that this international position demands frequent traveling (25%) (if travel restrictions allow)
